If it’s up to Melissa Harris-Perry—a political science professor at Tulane—children will belong to the community.

 “We have never invested as much in public education as we should have, because we’ve always had kind of a private notion of children,” Harris-Perry stupidly argued. “So part of it is, we have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents, or kids belong to their families, and recognize that kids belong to whole communities. March Jobs Report

The numbers provided by government

The government reported that the economy added 88,000 jobs in March, 2013—economists had expected 190,000 new jobs for the month. The unemployment dropped to 7.6% while the government conveniently put 663,000 more people in the so-called “not-in-labor-force” group—the group that are not included in the unemployment rate.
