Clinton: With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they’d go kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make?
No one, in their right mind, could doubt the incompetency of the Obama administration—Hillary Clinton’s State Department included—in deciding to cut security spending in Libya.
No one, in their right mind, could agree with the Obama administration—Hillary Clinton’s State Department included—in the cover-up of their failure to rescue those in Benghazi and to admit the attack was done by Al-Qaeda militants. After all, President Obama had previously claimed Al-Qaeda was defeated.
No one, in their right mind, can ever disagree with Senator Rand Paul’s statement “…That’s the problem with government — government is anonymous and so no one is accountable…”— Obama administration is no exception.
Does it make a difference now?
May be not…as no one should expect accountability from the administration now—especially after 61 some million voters did not hold them accountable last November.
Hillary Clinton may be right after all.
It does not make a difference now. Four Americans were already dead. Finding if there was a cover-up by the administration—or not—will not bring them back.
If 61 some million voters did not hold the administration accountable for the four American deaths, why do some Republican Senators expect that they can do now?
Rand Paul—a Republican hopeful for 2016
Quotes from Senator Rand Paul:
“…we can understand you are not reading every cable. I can understand that maybe you are not aware of the cable from the Ambassador in Vienna that asks for $100,000 for an electrical charging station. I can understand that maybe you are not aware that your Department spent $100,000 on 3 comedians who went to India on a promotional tour called Make Chi, Not War, but I think you might be able to understand that you should be aware of the $80 million spent on a consulate in Mahshahr al-Sharif…”
“…I think it’s inexcusable that you did not know about this and that you did not read these cables. I think by anybody’s estimation, Libya has to be one of the hottest of hot spots around the world. Not to know of the requests for securities, really I think cost these people their lives…”
Again…expecting the administration to be accountable is somewhat ridiculous now after all the evidences that we’ve been seeing for the last 4 years.
