No one can deny the incompetency of the Obama administration in choosing to cut the security in Libya. Being the blamers under the pressure, they now blame on the budget cuts that Congress forced on them. But being stupid as they are, they don’t realize that the public would ask…why they did not cut security budgets in places such as (serene) Canada, (placid) Tokyo, (tranquil) Australia, or (peaceful) New Zealand instead.
But they chose to cut the security force in Libya to the bare bone.
Why? Simple answer: they are incompetent.
Four Americans are dead and (terrorist) Abu Khattala is alive
During the heated exchange with Governor Romney regarding Benghazi attack in the second presidential debate, Obama said “…The day after the attack, Governor, I stood in the Rose Garden, and I told the American people and the world that we are going to find out exactly what happened, that this was an act of terror. And I also said that we’re going to hunt down those who committed this crime…”
On 10/18/2012, during a “foreign policy” discussion with Jon Stewart in The Daily Show, Obama said “…If four Americans get killed, that’s not optimal. We’re going to fix it. All of it.”
Well, Mr. President, Ahmed Abu Khattala—one of the ring leaders of the attack that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and 3 other American officials—is still very much alive.
As a matter of fact, he is daring you and the Libyan governments to come after him.
The New York Times reported that Abu Khattala scoffed at the threats from Obama administration and the Libyan governments.
Quotes from San Jose Mercury News:
…Within 24 hours of the deadly attack, the CIA station chief in Libya reported to Washington that there were eyewitness reports that the attack was carried out by militants, officials told The Associated Press. But for days, the Obama administration blamed it on an out-of-control demonstration over an American-made video ridiculing Islam’s Prophet Muhammad.
…“When things go down like that, there is no analysis in between,” said Rustmann, who has separately accused the Obama administration of sharing too many details about the raid that killed bin Laden. “You report this raw information as you receive it in Sitrep (situation report) format, from the CIA station to concerned worldwide (CIA) stations and bases and to the White House, Pentagon and State Department.”
However, on the documents turned over to Congress from the Obama administration, there was no such report. These documents only contained reports that supported what the administration had been saying during the first 2 weeks after the attack—blaming the anti-Muslim video.
The truth may be that Obama administration did not want to admit the attack was a terrorist act—they want the voters/people to believe Obama has won the war on terrorism. Why? They’ve already touted “Bin Laden is dead!” as Obama’s achievement—his only achievement. Obama team can’t admit terrorism is alive. They needed to blame on something—the anti-Muslim video.
(It’s also ironic that “Bin Laden is dead!” was due largely to the lead that was developed under the Bush’s administration by Rumsfeld’s torture methods that Obama criticized and promised to stop. The CIA followed that lead since 2005 and found Bin Laden. Obama gave final authorization to go and get Bin Laden. It is his only achievement in his first term)
