Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
We—Americans—love our First Amendment.
We enjoy saying what we believe.
We enjoy saying what we disagree with.
Dan Cathy expressed his opinion and took a hit for it
The president of Chick-fil-A said he is “guilty as charged … We are very much supportive of the family – the biblical definition of the family unit …”
He also said ““My family and I … love and respect everyone who disagrees.”
He did not say he opposed gay marriage.
What he really said was that he believed in God’s definition of marriage.
Chick-fil-A does not discriminate gay customers or employees.
But the leftists went berserk over his comment anyway.
Chicago mayor—Ram Emanuel—vowed to ban Chick-fil-A expansion in Chicago.
Boston Mayor Thomas Menino sent Dan Cathy a letter urging Chick-fil-A to not add a location in Faneuil Hall.
Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl shared the same opinion. And so does San Francisco Mayor Edwin Lee—of course.
What will stop these (stupid) mayors from banning the next church opening in your city? After all, churches share the same belief with Dan Cathy. From what I see, these mayors should not have the power to do so.
And if they have their way, America will turn into China.
August 1st is Chick-fil-A Day
Thousands lined up today to buy chicken sandwich at over 1600 Chick-fil-A locations nationwide.
Not that they suddenly fell in love with chicken sandwich overnight. Many said they used chicken sandwich to vote ‘Yes’ for The First Amendment.
Now, the next move is for them to vote out their (stupid) mayors—the likes of Emanuel, Menino, Ravenstahl and Lee.
